The seaside town of Dinard is located on the north-eastern coast of Brittany, just across the Rance Estuary from Saint Malo. Dinard was once a thriving fishing village, up until the end of the 19th century when the rich and famous built luxury houses in and around the area. The town is conveniently located on the edge of the gulf stream so unexpectedly receives a mild climate. It’s a fantastic place to visit beaches and if you’re feeling particularly lucky the casino can be a good source of entertainment. This can be found on the Plage de l’ecluse – Dinard’s main beach and the location of many of Dinard’s luxury hotels. Port Breton Park opposite the Prieure beach has a large rose garden and if you have children you will also find a children’s play area.
